When Your Camera Thinks It's Kat Williams in a Sauna: Problem-Solving With A RaceWeek Rookie!

What in the h-e-double hockey sticks… 🫣

Picture this: a scorching 112° heat index at Thunder Valley Raceway, and my camera starts sassing me like Kat Williams on a rant – "this is some bullshit!" 👀🤣

Now, let’s dive into the hilarity and ingenuity of the day. My dad and I, the dynamic duo of problem-solving, were brainstorming this morning. He casually drops, "heat affects battery performance." Cue the lightbulb moment. So, I slapped on my dual battery grip, turning my camera from a single battery beast to a twin-turbo powerhouse. Vroom vroom, baby! 😜

But wait, there's more! The sun was relentless, and my hands were sweating buckets. First thought: liquid chalk. Then, I imagined my camera covered in white powder and quickly nixed that idea. Enter: serendipity. I stumbled upon these rubber-coated Adidas gloves – maybe baseball, maybe football? Who knows! They're mesh-backed and breathable, offering my fingers the perfect blend of flexibility and grip.

Next up, protecting my precious lens and camera body from the blazing sun. Solution: a Battle L/XL arm sleeve. It's stretchy, lightweight, and covered most of my camera. I left the right side uncovered for grip – still experimenting with this part. It's a work in progress, you know how it goes!

And let me tell you, the improvement yesterday at Mo-Kan Dragway was chef's kiss. 🤌🏻
